Another proposed series for Fantagraphics’ Monster Comics line was a revival of Dick Briefer’s 1950s Monster of Frankenstein series I worked on with Don Glut. Several publishers have shown an interest in it over the years, including a planned new comics magazine I was going to edit for the new publishers of Famous Monsters. Some of the art appeared with a story Don wrote for Castle of Frankenstein magazine and in the final volume of Roy Thomas’ hardcover collections of Dick Briefer comics.
